What you’ll do

This role involves the development and maintenance of features within our .NET Core and React (SSR via Next.JS) stack. You'll be working in a modern, event-driven environment with intricate systems and numerous interconnected components. While the primary focus is on our current platform, occasional support for a limited number of older ASP.NET MVC services may be required.

You will be responsible to:

• Design and develop new features for the Woolworths Market Plus (WMP) platform
• Improve platform speed, reliability, and scalability
• Contribute as a senior, hands-on engineer in a serverless, event-driven architecture
• Develop both stateless .NET applications and work with large datasets across PostgreSQL, MongoDB and MSSQL databases
• Build and contribute to the full-stack, moving from REST APIs through to UI components for front-end development
• Translate high-level requirements into workable solutions with Product Managers and Business Analysts

What you’ll bring

You’ll bring strong .NET skills, particularly with C#, ASP.NET Core, and REST API development and also solid experience with modern front-end technologies like React, along with a deep understanding of software design principles, Entity Framework Core, and SQL databases.

Key skills involve:

• Strong .NET stack experience (C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs)
• Solid front-end experience with React in production
• Good understanding of modern software design practices
• Comfortable with Entity Framework Core and SQL database design
• Ability to explain ideas clearly and collaborate across teams
