What you’ll do | Hei mahi
As a Procurement Specialist, you’ll support the NZ business to drive value and operational excellence through a consulting style service that leverages the wider Procurement team’s category SMEs and a program structure to provide both leading practice insights / thought leadership and delivery excellence to the NZ business.
This role reports through to the Portfolio Manager Packaging, Consumables & E2E GNFR Supply in AU and has a delivery reporting line to the General Manager Finance Group & Retail Operations NZ.
Specifically, the role will see you:
- Lead processes and practices and support teams to ultimately support Woolworths NZ and their future growth.
- Work within established policies and legal obligations with a certain degree of flexibility and creativity.
- Provide insights into financial and non-financial business impacts.
- Drive improvements in systems and processes for efficiency and financial integrity.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the delivery of in-market source-to-contract initiatives.
- Support supplier lifecycle activities, including sourcing, negotiation, purchasing, onboarding and offboarding
What you’ll bring | Hei koha
As the owner of all in market (local NZ) activities, you will evolve your understanding of the policy, framework and tools as you identify and lead all of these initiatives, and support better buying across all levels of the NZ business.
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Minimum 3 years in management consulting, supply chain, or procurement in a large organization.
- Tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering, Commerce, Arts, Business Administration, or Project Management preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills, with proven ability to influence.
- Strong consulting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- High level of commercial acumen, including understanding total cost of ownership.
