This is a unique opportunity within NZ’s largest eCommerce retailer. As our new Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for
- The responsibilities of planning, designing, managing, executing, and reporting on both manual and automated testing practices.
- Utilizing appropriate tools and techniques while adhering to established process standards and industry-specific regulations.
- Guiding and mentoring fellow testers, striving to enhance existing testing processes and contributing to the continuous improvement of quality assurance chapters.
- Managing frequent releases, especially in agile environments from initiation to deployment along with complete traceability
- Facilitating triage of production issues and ensuring collaboration with relevant squads/teams affected
What you’ll bring | Hei koha
Working in our highly collaborative environment, you’ll be tasked with not only testing but also engaging with a variety of teams-from technical to functional.
To be great in this role, you will need to demonstrate
- A strong foundation in testing principles and excellent communication skills.
- Experience with any automation tools including Specflow, Playwright, or Selenium.
- Proficiency in querying databases using SQL.
- Proficiency in performance testing and data driven testing approach (will make you stand out from the crowd!)
- Confidently perform API testing using tools like Postman, or Swagger.
- A proven ability to manage stakeholders and contribute to practice-level initiatives.
As a Senior Test Engineer you'll bring in:
- Practical experience in test automation
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps test management
- Proficiency in operating and overseeing test automation pipelines within Azure DevOps
- Comprehensive understanding of monitoring and observability techniques to derive insights from failures, test coverage, and device coverage
