What You’ll Do


As our Senior Specialist - Security Awareness, Communication, and Training, reporting to the Head of Cyber Consulting & Awareness, you will be instrumental in shaping a security-aware culture. You'll develop and spearhead our security awareness program, empowering Woolworths Group team members to understand and respond to cyber risks effectively, and to understand their responsibilities concerning cyber policies, standards, and controls.


  • Develop and implement impactful organisational cyber security awareness campaigns to educate, influence, and engage Woolworths Group team members on cyber risks and appropriate responses,
  • measuring and reporting on their statistics and success rates to drive continuous improvement.
  • Develop and deliver innovative, engaging, and tailored training programs that help IT and the broader organisation understand cyber security objectives and key awareness messages.
  • Innovate and deploy creative communication channels and engaging materials to deliver key cyber security messages effectively.
  • Design and implement targeted phishing simulations to assess and improve team member vigilance across the Group.
  • Establish and nurture key relationships across the business, including Cyber Security and IT leadership, providing them with visibility of the security awareness program..
  • Champion a security mindset across the organisation, encouraging engagement with the Cyber Security team.


What You’ll Bring:


  • 3+ years training and experience in organisational learning and change management. 
  • Project management experience with the ability to plan, manage and maintain a complex and sustainable organisation wide program.
  • A broad knowledge of, confidence in, and experience with cyber security, demonstrating an ability to keep up with relevant industry trends. Ideally, have knowledge of regulatory, compliance and information security management frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS)..
  • Sufficient technical knowledge of core IT concepts to effectively create and deliver targeted training for technical audiences (such as Application Owners and team members with privileged access).
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and oral), with a talent for effectively relating security concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, enabling you to build collaborative relationships, negotiate effectively, and influence stakeholders at all levels. 
  • An innovative and creative problem-solver, comfortable working in a dynamic environment with the ability to coordinate, adapt, and prioritise work effectively. 
  • Strong research and investigative skills to ensure awareness materials are accurate and aligned with relevant industry advice and trends.
