The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Group Accountant to join the Group External Reporting team on a 9 month Fixed Term Contract. You will play a key role leading the preparation of high-profile financial reports and presentations for public announcement, the Board, and Group Executive leadership.
What you'll do
- Assist in the preparation of the Group’s half-year financial report and annual report
- Assist in the preparation Group’s profit announcements and analyst presentations
- Assist in the preparation of the Group's key performance metrics such as branch and administration disclosures and sales disclosures
- Assist in the preparation of the Group’s Financial Statement Analysis of the P&L including Sales, GP, CODB, EBIT and key performance metrics
- Assist in the preparation of reports and analysis to the CFO, Board, and Audit Committee
- Liaise with external auditors in respect of financial audits and other audits of group results and reporting
- Partner with business unit finance teams to ensure ongoing compliance with accounting and Finance and disclosure related matters
What you’ll bring
- Minimum of 4-6 years experience with extensive external and internal reporting experience, ideally within a FMCG/ retail company, large ASX listed business or Big 4 accounting firm
- CA/CPA qualified
- Able to communicate complex financial information to a broad audience (experience in writing for Group Executives and Board is an advantage)
- Strong stakeholder management, project management and partnering capability with multiple teams
- Proven ability in building strong relationships with stakeholders and exert influence to deliver on commitments
- Experience in supporting various financial systems (SAP & One Stream) desirable and advanced Excel Skills required
