What you’ll do
As the Range & Space Initiatives Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership and delivery of strategic Range & Space goals for our small stores as well as other Range and Space projects and initiatives.
Ownership of Smaller Format Stores: Act as the primary advocate and subject matter expert of small format stores, to provide thought partnership, strategic visions and process improvement on range, merch and space strategies to drive commercial outcomes and customer success.
Focus on Impact and Consistency for Smaller Format Stores: Work collaboratively with the Category Deployment teams to ensure delivery on managed categories are consistent to Supermarkets. Take strong ownership on smaller bay size formats and stores including a strategic framework to ensure best range made available in the right stores with the right merchandising that is sustainable, while continuously assess the right level of support and areas smaller format stores should win in to make the biggest impact for our customers
Strategic Leadership & Partnership: Lead and support the Senior Manager - Range & Space Initiatives with innovation, collaboration, challenges and critical thinking excellence to empower the broader team on the development and execution of other Woolworths' Range and Space initiatives, ensuring it aligns with our broader Commercial and W-Retail plans.
Initiative Delivery & Innovation: Drive a portfolio of new and existing range and space initiatives from concept to implementation, leveraging advanced data analytics and insightful recommendations to create value for customers and the business. This includes adapting our approach as business priorities and customer needs evolve.
What you’ll bring
A minimum of 5 years experience in relevant roles (strategic initiatives, analytics, consulting, or commercial role, preferably within retail, FMCG, or a related industry)
Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related subject or equal professional experience
Proven record of leading, building and developing high performing teams across multiple levels
Experience in team leadership in coaching, empowerment, training and ability to influence teams to land meaningful change
Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and compelling business cases.
