What you'll do

The Product Lead - Transport works with various key stakeholders to provide, and deliver to, a Product Roadmap and prioritised Product Backlog, that supports and achieves the business goals in the Transport domain.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Close collaboration with relevant stakeholders to understand and anticipate business objectives, along with management and prioritisation of the product backlog, and active participation in the planning, execution, and review of each sprint.

  • Definition of the Product Roadmap: elaboration of user stories, identification of Themes and Epics, definition of sprint objectives, acceptance criteria.

  • Provision of technical leadership and decision-making, ensuring clarity of goals and objectives, through thorough understanding of the business processes and the Transport Systems.

  • Undertake capacity planning ahead of any increased demand growth and ensure it is in place so the application meets its Service Level Agreement.

  • Engagement and communication with various levels of stakeholders into the release priorities, and expected delivery timeframes.


What you'll bring

To be successful in this position, you'll need to demonstrate:

  • Product Owner experience and  with deep understanding of IT processes, within a supply chain domain, preferably within the Transport environment.

  • Proven exposure to Transport technologies, preferably in Transport Management Systems such as Blue Yonder TMS. 

  • Sound IT Service Management experience across the end to end service lifecycle, most importantly strategy, design and build, along with Agile and DevOps Toolchain.

  • Relevant experience in executive relationship management, negotiation and influencing, and proven commercial experience with vendors and contracts.

  • Demonstrated technical and management knowledge and/or formal qualifications to the Masters tertiary level.
