What you’ll do
Working as part of a highly innovative and collaborative team, the Merchandising Analyst supports the end to end creation of tailored merchandising strategies while understanding the impact on range and using data/insights to influence commercial opportunities.
Leading the merchandising vision and strategy for categories with a focus on our merchandising guidelines
Co-creation with key strategic partners across commercial and Merchandising & Customer Value (ie: Macro, Category Development) to deliver against our key strategic priorities
Partnering with the Merchandising Optimisation teams to leverage technology within space optimisation, specifically through Planogram Generator
Providing key analysis for strategic projects and categories that aims to improve customer shopping experience and store operational productivity
Using available data, demonstrating strong analytical rigour, to identify opportunities and provide meaningful recommendations to our buying partners that will improve our customer experiences and commercial strategy
What you’ll bring
A minimum of 3 years experience in relevant roles (eg: merchandising specialist, category analyst, category executive, sales analyst, account executive, space planner) - OR a Bachelor Degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related subject or equal professional experience (FMCG desirable)
Passionate about a great customer experience and stores. Curious to understand customer behaviour and its links to commercial and space optimisation outcomes
Attention to detail and result-oriented mindset with strong governance and validation of all planograms
Clear analytical thinking, with capability of breaking information into component parts, patterns and relationships
Capable of interpreting data through the use of Google & Microsoft suites (SQL & GCP desirable) to provide actionable insights and recommendations
Experience in SAP and Blue Yonder (JDA) Space Planning with exposure to PG is desirable
A track record in demonstrating a proactive stakeholder management and networking
