What you’ll do
The Security Engineer leads the development and integration of on-premise and cloud-focused security products and services at Woolworths. This role drives engineering initiatives to strengthen cloud and on-premise security, ensuring ongoing efficacy of our Security Tooling, and providing the services that support our internal customers to meet our Cyber Security standards.

  • Define, test and implement Public Cloud Security Controls, CI/CD Security Controls and new security tooling and functionality.

  • Maximise the value we derive from our Security Tooling, in support of our CNAPP, EDR, and Vulnerability Management Security Services.

  • Gap analysis between existing and required security capabilities, including standing up Proof of Concepts.

  • Coding, experienced in solving problems using API’s and Data Processing.

  • Be a subject matter expert on multiple security domains, help define requirements in support of an improved security posture for the organisation.

  • Provides ongoing 3rd level support for security products and services to minimise incident impact.



What you’ll bring

  • 4+ years of Engineering experience preferred.

  • Strong understanding of information security, networking, and protocols.

  • Software development experience with public cloud Infrastructure as Code and Automation.

  • Experience with native security capabilities in Azure, GCP, and AWS.

  • System administration experience with Windows, Linux, and macOS.
