About the role
As an Assistant Ambient Manager, you will support the Ambient Manager in leading the department and ensuring strong processes are in place across routine, food safety, safety, promo and events planning. This role leads, manages, and supports the Ambient and Replenishment teams to ensure stock availability for the efficient picking of online orders. As a part of creating a safe working environment, all candidates for this role can expect to undergo a pre-employment medical check as part of the recruitment process.
What you'll do
- Assist in managing daily operations within the department.
- Work with the Ambient Manager on business-as-usual tasks and exploring new opportunities. Additionally, partner with the eCom team to maximise efficiencies and ensure complete orders with the freshest quality.
- Help ensure adherence to safety and food safety standards, maintaining full compliance.
- Support payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate team payments.
- Collaborate with the product team to ensure fresh, high-quality products and accurate order fulfilment.
- Assist in driving improvements by working with peers and other CFC teams.
- Support rostering and training efforts, ensuring compliance with EA and training requirements.
- Help coach and develop team members to ensure future talent growth.
What you'll bring
- Experience in supporting the Ambient/Long Life Department.
- Proven background in retail roles with a focus on support functions.
- Understanding of online order fulfilment processes and systems.
- Knowledge of inventory management, production, and replenishment practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective in time management, planning, and organising tasks.
- Ability to assist in coaching and engaging team members.
- Experience in using computers, digital tools, and resources for daily operations.
