The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst - Planning, Performance & Insights to join the FinX Finance Team.
FinX supports and partners with eComX, the largest food retail eCommerce business in Australia, with $7b+ of sales and growing at an incredible ~20% per year and CustomerX, a portfolio of diverse businesses including Cartology, our retail media business and Everyday, our Rewards, Telco and Fintech platform.
It is an exciting role which provides exposure to the end to end Capital plans across both eComX and CustomerX, assisting with the coordination, administration and reporting of Capital along with Balance Sheet, depreciation and other adhoc tasks as required across the FinX Group.
What you’ll do
Coordinate and communicate timelines, deliverables and expectations for all Capital and Balance Sheet reporting requirements and being the first point of contact for all queries.
Month end process (Capital): supporting teams with project capitalisation journals, IPA uploads, system access requests, AUC reporting etc as required.
Capital reporting and budgeting: coordination of consolidated reporting for eComX and CustomerX for monthly BPMs, QIC and Annual Operating Plans.
Balance Sheet reporting: coordination of the CustomerX monthly balance sheet review including consolidated balance sheet, overs/unders and QA reviews as well as supporting eComX with their Balance Sheet reporting ambitions.
Key contact for capital and balance sheet queries and requests from AU Food, CAS and/or Group Finance.
Seeking opportunities for continuous improvements in system efficiencies, processes, reporting and insights.
Other adhoc requests as required including assisting with capital funding, DOA changes, soft costs reporting, depreciation, coordination of bi-annual finance risk reviews, leaning in to support the broader PPI team to cover team leave/absenteeism etc
Attendance and active participation in all PPI Hub meetings, workshops, Group Capital Chapter, Better Pillar etc.
What you’ll bring
CA/CPA qualified with 3+ years post qualified experience
Advanced experience and proficiency in data analytics and use of financial systems e.g. Google Cloud Platform, Google slides and Sheets, SAP, IPA (TM1)
Strong presentation and storytelling skills with excellent verbal and written communication
Analytical and proactive, with problem solving skills
Proven ability to build strong relationships and exert influence to deliver on commitments
Ability to turn insights into action and drive process efficiencies
Ability to work flexibly and with agility
Proven ability in meeting deadlines, time management, prioritising key tasks and timely communication of progress, issues and the like with all relevant stakeholders
