Woolworths Property is accountable for all property undertakings of the Woolworths Group and provides comprehensive, proactive property solutions to support the existing retail businesses and their future growth.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced Lease Manager to join the Woolworths Property team. You will play a role in ensuring accuracy of lease and financial data in the company wide Lease Management system and be a custodian of all occupancy payments. You will also assist other areas of Woolworths in regards to lease interpretation. 


What you’ll do

  • Lease Data Management: Ensure accuracy and integrity of lease and financial data, including maintaining property master data. 
  • Occupancy Cost Control: Manage and review outgoings and occupancy cost charges from landlords, seeing savings and ensuring compliance with lease agreements.
  • Lease Payment Processing: Review and approve lease occupancy payments, including automated fixed and CPI reviews, in accordance with lease terms.   
  • Lease Interpretation and Support: Continuously improve lease management systems and processes for greater efficiency. 
  • Stakeholder Communication: Shares critical lease-related information with external stakeholders, such as landlords.

 

What you’ll bring

  • Retail lease Experience : 5+ years managing retail property leases.
  • Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships
  • Financial Analysis: Strong analytical skills, especially in reviewing property outgoings. 
  • Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated success in achieving favourable outcomes.
  • Experience with Lease Management Systems, including outgoings and budgeting. 
  • Property & Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of retail lease structures, and occupancy cost accounting
