What you’ll do
The Senior Designer brings the Own Brand portfolio to life by influencing, leading and delivering co-ordinated customer first commercial ranges that differentiates BIG W and are aligned to our purpose of making a real difference for families. They are responsible for leading the product development team through partnering end to end across the ecosystem to ultimately deliver value, quality and advocacy in our brands.
- Lead and influence continuous evolution of Own Brand Product Range, informed by trend, market intel, customer insights and commercial analytics in collaboration with key stakeholders and partners .
- Demonstrate a passion for creativity with the ability to lead and deliver coordinated, relevant and appealing product ranges for a large volume retailer that set Big W apart in the Market.
- Drive and champion cost led design processes.
- Partner across the end to end ecosystem to ensure effective & clear communication with key stakeholders
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the unique commercial and customer role for each brand, establishing principles to ensure delineation between brands with the aim to increase brand awareness, brand consideration and conversion, grow sales, margin and healthy inventory.

What you’ll bring
- Formal qualification in Design.
- Previous experience leading a design team in a large retail business or brand.
- Previous accountability managing and designing for a high volume and high complexity of options.
- Transferable skills across areas of design, with ability to adapt across product types.
- Proficient in CAD and Rendering software
