The Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst to join our Operations Finance Team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role plays an important leadership role in an end to end capacity. This role is the key support for the Finance Manager, assisting them to drive value through delivering an objective and integrated view of the Supermarket Operations financial position, both current and future state. In doing so, this role will also support State teams, and drive insights to support the Operations leadership team.
What you’ll do
- End to end coordination - lead, drive and manage the annual/bi-annual AOP, monthly forecasts and month end close process across the P&L and Capex
- Partner broadly across the business to coordinate inputs from all other sources, and incorporate into AOP, forecasts and month end reporting
- Own and manage Capex reporting, forecasting and budgeting for Operations
- Own the monthly comms to stores re: P&L bundles, and coordinate key messages required
- manipulate large and complex data sets and translate/simplify them into simple models and insights.
- Provide key ad-hoc analysis to stakeholders and leadership team.
What you’ll bring
- You are a CA/CPA qualified finance business partner who displays good leadership, organisational, results and deadline-oriented skills.
- Proven experience as a Senior Analyst
- You are an influencer & have a proven ability to partner with key stakeholders to drive business change.
- You are able to communicate with impact, are analytical and able to problem-solve effectively.
- Creative & flexible mindset, you collaborate and listen to others
- You have a high ability to adapt and change course very quickly
- Agile, enthusiastic and passionate about enabling business decisions by understanding the drivers of cost and identifying opportunities for improvement.
