The Opportunity

This role sits within the Group Risk Enablement Office in the Risk Platform. The Risk Enablement Office plays a crucial role in empowering a community of risk professionals, driving our strategic vision and ensuring our risk strategy is not just a plan, but is delivered. The Risk Enablement Office also oversees and prepares papers for the Risk Committee. At the heart of our role, it is all about fostering a vibrant community of risk specialists, encouraging collaboration of solutions to our shared challenges.

As a Risk Strategy Analyst, you'll be at the heart of how we uncover critical insights and shape the future of risk at Woolworths. You'll be instrumental in deep-diving into data, conducting rigorous analysis, and preparing impactful research reports that inform our strategic direction. Leveraging technology and AI, you'll transform complex information into clear, actionable intelligence, enabling the precise delivery of our risk strategy.


What you’ll do

  • Conduct Research and Analysis: Conduct in-depth research, benchmark best practices, and analyze complex data sets to provide leaders with actionable, data-driven insights.
  • Build Compelling Packs: Use your research and analysis skills to design and build insightful reports and presentations for a variety of audiences, including the Risk Committee.
  • Innovate with AI and Automation: Identify opportunities to leverage AI and other technologies to automate processes and streamline the creation of research reports and presentation packs.
  • Build and Enhance Tools: Develop and maintain dashboards and tools to track and monitor strategic performance, ensuring data is easily accessible and understood.
  • Support the Risk Platform: Provide administrative and operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of the risk platform and its community of professionals.


What you’ll bring

  • Curiosity for AI: A keen interest in and hands-on experience with AI tools like Gemini or ChatGPT. You should be comfortable with effective prompt writing, fact-checking, and exploring how these tools can automate and enhance research and content creation workflows.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong experience in researching, analyzing, and interpreting complex data and thought leadership. You have a knack for presenting information in a clear, digestible, and compelling manner.
  • Presentation and Communication: Proven ability to build sophisticated presentations and information packs. You're skilled in using technology to automate content generation and improve visual communication, making information accessible to all stakeholders.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with BI dashboards and the Google Suite (Sheets, Slides, Docs, Miro) with the ability to leverage these tools to build automated solutions for data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational, prioritization, and coordination skills to effectively plan and execute research projects and pack builds
  • Team Work and Collaboration: Comfortable working in a team environment, fostering strong collaboration with team members to co-create solutions.
