The Opportunity
The Quality 1st Specialist exists to support our vision of delivering Best in class innovative Products & Brands only at WOW that delight customers by inspiring a quality food culture throughout Woolworths and empowering our team and customers to help make life easier for all.
The Quality 1st Specialist is an infectiously enthusiastic foodie that loves product, food and nutrition. This will be instrumental in improving our own brand product quality, based on the set best in class standards and subsequent improvement plans the Delivery teams will build.
What you’ll do
- Lead Quality Strategy: execute on the annual Quality strategy and plan.
- Champion Quality: Act as a positive role model, advocating for Quality ambitions across all teams.
- Foster Collaboration: Build strong internal and cross-functional relationships to achieve Quality goals.
- Prioritize Customers: Ensure customer focus is central to all Quality-related discussions and decisions.
- Drive Innovation: Maintain an open-minded and innovative approach to Quality initiatives.
- Track Progress: Record and monitor the Quality roadmap, informing product improvement priorities.
What you’ll bring
- Tertiary Qualification & Experience: Hold a relevant tertiary qualification with 2+ years of experience in sensory and organoleptic assessment.
- Sensory Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of best-in-class sensory methodologies and stay updated on industry developments.
- Customer & Product Passion: Demonstrate a genuine passion for customers, the Woolworths Food Company's purpose, and current food trends.
- Software Proficiency: Be proficient in sensory and research software, including Qualtrics, Q Research Software, digital qualitative platforms, Excel, and G-Suite.
- Project Management Skills: Exhibit strong organizational and project management abilities, seeing projects through from inception to delivery within scope and timelines.
- Communication & Agility: Possess excellent communication and presentation skills, with familiarity in Agile practices, to effectively convey insights and manage multiple priorities.
