What you’ll do
The Privacy Lead, reporting to the Head of Privacy Business Partnering in the Privacy and Customer Trust (PCT) team, acts as a trusted advisor for assigned business units. They align privacy priorities with business strategies to ensure compliance with the Group Privacy Program, providing expert advice to build and maintain customer trust. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with leadership, project teams, cyber, risk and legal representatives.
Specifically you will:
- Understand the strategy and priorities of the assigned business units (BU) and provide practical solutions to the BUs to meet their business priorities and embed privacy by design.
- Set and deliver on the strategy and direction for privacy and customer trust for the designated BUs aligned to, and with the support of, the PCT team.
- Partner with yourPCT colleagues and legal, data and risk teams to develop consistent, best practices and processes for privacy governance.
- Build and develop relationships with key senior stakeholders across the BUs and other relevant areas of the Group to influence and implement effective privacy & data ethics capability
- Conduct effective Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs), and support in complaint and incident management and training exercises.
What you’ll bring
- 5-10 years' experience in privacy or a related field.
- Proficient knowledge of Australian privacy legislation, principles, and best practices.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience in business partnering preferred.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
