The Performance & Reward Team is responsible for the execution of core performance & reward programs and cyclical processes, through partnering with Group Reward and delivering high quality experiences for leaders and team members. 


What you’ll do | Hei mahi

The Performance & Reward Analyst is responsible for delivering high quality total reward analytics across a breadth of remuneration functions.  Contribute to a team culture of service excellence by partnering with stakeholders in NZ and across the Woolworths Group.  You will identify ways to enhance the team experience through providing insights into internal and external reward trends and issues, supported by data-driven insights.  This role will also be the key contact for a number of areas, including Group Team Benefits and Group Mobility.


In this role, you’ll:

  • Deliver the day-to-day operational requirements of Performance & Reward services including the annual remuneration cycle, job evaluations, benchmarking and salary surveys

  • Provide analytical support and data-driven recommendations to the Performance and Reward teams and P&C stakeholders

  • Undertake market analysis and make recommendations in regards to remuneration levels in line with business requirements and market conditions

  • Partner with our People teams to plan and execute ongoing service initiatives

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities through monitoring service performance and total rewards analytics

  • Work within and understand policy and legislation changes to ensure compliance

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key P&C stakeholders and external bodies

  • Ensure data integrity of People, Reward and Benefits information in the appropriate systems

  • Report on trends and provide support to the business including assisting with special projects


What you’ll bring | Hei koha

To be successful in this position as a Performance & Reward Analyst, you will have:


  • 2+ years in working in a Reward role, with experience in compensation concepts and HRIS systems

  • Experience in delivering all elements of a Reward cycle, including annual remuneration review, short term and long term incentive plans and salary survey submissions to 3rd party providers

  • Experience in job evaluations and benchmarking in large complex organisations, contract management and knowledge of KFHG an advantage

  • Proven track record of identifying and implementing operational process improvements

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel with strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as keen attention to detail
