What you’ll do
The Head of Privacy - Business Partnering reports to the General Manager - Privacy & Customer Trust (PCT) and is responsible for providing high quality privacy leadership and advice to Woolworths Group businesses. This role will act as a trusted and strategic adviser to a designated divisional business unit, be accountable for leading the Privacy Business Partner team, and own the delivery and embedding of privacy and customer trust strategies and best practices across the organisation.
Act as a key privacy advisor into Woolworths Businesses, providing practical and strategic advice
Lead and manage the performance of the Privacy Business Partner team to ensure their delivery of Woolworth Group’s strategic and operational privacy objectives.
Engage with, influence and build trust at all levels whilst managing multiple stakeholder relationships to understand and resolve any blockers which impact the delivery of key PCT initiatives within Woolworths business teams.
Embed ‘privacy-by-design’ as a core way of working across the organisation.
What you’ll bring
The right candidate for this role will have a proven track record of operationalising privacy in a matrixed organisation, possessing a deep mastery of privacy regulations and best practices and ideally possess broader knowledge of data protection and Responsible AI. The ideal candidate will have experience managing strategic privacy risk and customer trust, building strong relationships, and leading teams to drive innovation. Excellent commercial judgment and the ability to prioritise and influence value-creating decisions are essential.
In addition you will have:
A degree in a relevant field (legal background is a plus, but not essential)
Certification in Data Privacy preferred (e.g., IAPP)
Experience managing teams and a purpose lead approach to leadership with strong ways of working, focused on end to end solutions.
The ability to utilise analytical and critical thinking skills to solve complex business problems that span multiple teams and businesses.
Previous experience working in agile environment, with a track record of leading complex projects and working with a broad set of cross functional stakeholders
