What you’ll do


This role is responsible for transforming Woolworths' Enterprise proposition to achieve substantial sales growth while maintaining profitability. This involves leading sales and marketing to acquire and retain key business customers, personalizing their experiences to foster true partnerships, and creating frictionless solutions for their needs, such as supporting healthier kids and efficient procurement. A key focus will be building a high-performing team of sales associates with strong commercial relationships, nurturing C-suite connections with valuable clients to ensure retention, and representing Woolworths at industry events. As a senior leader, this role also involves collaborating across the Woolworths Group to enhance the broader B2B food strategy and driving innovation in a competitive market.


In addition to the above, you will

  • Take a leading role in the development of strategic plans across eComX and Food B2B. including collaborating with senior leaders and stakeholders throughout the Woolworths Group to achieve business goals and leverage the group's resources effectively.

  • Actively identify opportunities to improve commercial outcomes, such as margin, COGS, and trade investment. This role drives the commercialisation of assets and ensures they maintain a strong understanding of market and industry insights.

  • Influence the optimal customer range offer within WooliesX, providing expert guidance on range optimisation and ensuring alignment with broader group processes and compliance. Also supporting range improvements across all digital channels.

  • Drive the growth of pricing capabilities, carefully balancing customer and commercial outcomes in pricing decisions. Cultivating strong relationships with relevant teams across the wider Woolworths Group.

  • Provide strategic direction for the Enterprise+ Team, focusing on building team capabilities and managing resources effectively. This includes supporting financial performance, fostering a customer-first team culture, and mentoring team members for professional growth and future leadership.


What you’ll bring

The right candidate for this role possesses a strong and demonstrable skillset essential for a senior leadership position within a complex, matrixed organisation like Woolworths. They exhibit proficiency in leading large teams, navigating matrix structures, and effectively influencing and collaborating across various stakeholders. With a clear understanding of problem-solving methodologies and a balanced approach to sales and profit, they are adept at driving continual improvement and achieving set financial targets through large-scale commercial levers.

In addition to the above, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience leading teams, particularly within range and/or pricing functions, with a track record of managing large-scale deliverables. This includes leading teams of buyers, category, or merchandise managers (or a strong understanding of their operations).

  • A demonstrated ability to understand and influence at a senior level with engaging communication that fosters trust and collaboration across the organisation.

  • Strong capabilities in strategic thinking, negotiation, and leveraging data analysis and insights to support decision-making. Experience operating in a leadership role within a large e-commerce business is highly desirable.

  • A comprehensive understanding of the digital FMCG landscape, including customer journeys, user experience (UX), and digital merchandising, ideally complemented by merchandise/buying experience managing complex, high-volume portfolios
