This standalone ecommerce business prioritises a digital-first strategy, providing a best-in-class digital experience and pioneering new technologies for business customers.

What you will do
The Commercial Trade Analyst uses data analysis to support the Woolworths at Work team, providing insights into customer interactions to drive sustainable, profitable growth. This role focuses on supporting commercial trade objectives by balancing price competitiveness, profitability, and scalability.
Financial Acumen: Understands Woolworths at Work's commercial model, optimises commercial outcomes balancing customer value and profitability, and manages budgets/forecasts, providing data-driven insights and profitability analysis to senior leaders.
Customer & Market Insights: Builds reporting tools, leverages market trends to identify new business opportunities, and provides commercial expertise to business initiatives. Responds to ad-hoc analytical requests.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborates with Analytics & Pricing teams, cross-functional trade and acquisition teams, and the broader Woolworths Group to improve commercial outcomes and leverage best-in-class systems.
Operational Excellence: Leverages data sources and techniques to drive business performance, understands B2B pricing systems, and improves trade planning systems and workflows.
Commercial Strategy Execution: Influences execution and provides insights to achieve commercial goals across Woolworths at Work's value proposition.
What you’ll bring
Extensive Analytical Experience: 5+ years of experience in a commercial, financial, or data analysis role, preferably in retail or sales.
Strong Analytical & Data Skills: Proven ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets, translating them into actionable insights and presenting them effectively using data visualization and strong communication skills.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with tools like Tableau, GCP, Google products, Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, and SAP. Experience with customer segmentation and profit drivers.
Commercial Acumen: Familiarity with developing and improving profit and commercial methodologies. Understanding of key profit drivers.
Personal Attributes: Self-starter with strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Adaptable, detail-oriented, and driven by innovation and process improvement. Able to work independently and under pressure.
