The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a lawyer to join the Woolworths Retail legal team supporting Greenstock, W360 and other Woolworths Retail businesses. We are looking for a capable commercial lawyer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to grow in a collegiate team environment.
What you’ll Do
Reporting to the Senior Lawyer - Woolworths Retail, you will be responsible for advising on a broad range of commercial matters, including:
Working with the Greenstock, W360 and other Woolworths Retail businesses to support projects and day to day operations, provide advisory support, and preparing and negotiating ‘fit for purpose’ contracts
Building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders that facilitate constructive and efficient delivery pathways for the business to achieve its objectives
Ensuring key stakeholders are informed on the impact of regulatory requirements that may affect the organisation
Assisting the General Counsel - Woolworths Retail to support on matters which affect the organisation’s strategic objectives
Managing and advising on commercial disputes
Assisting with the development of training materials and deployment of training modules on legal developments and systems
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor of Laws with 3-6 years PQE with a well regarded law firm or/and in house experience
A current Australian practising certificate
Strong experience in commercial contracting
An interest in retail innovation and construction is desirable
A resilient and collaborative professional who is comfortable dealing with ambiguity
