What you’ll do


Join the Digital Media Agency (DMA) as Lead Paid Search Media Specialist and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of CustomerX. You'll drive exceptional customer experiences by leveraging cutting edge digital platforms and deep customer insights.


As Lead Paid Search Media Specialist, you'll lead a team of experts, delivering impactful brand and targeted marketing campaigns across Google, Google Marketing Platform & Microsoft for Woolworths NZ.  You'll collaborate closely with Woolworths Group's New Zealand Brand & Marketing and DMA’s Planning & Activation and Platform teams, driving both awareness and personalised campaign success.


By building strong stakeholder partnerships, you'll define campaign strategies that achieve revenue goals, providing data-driven recommendations to optimise performance. Your work will accelerate CustomerX and New Zealand’s digital leadership, creating world-class customer experiences.


You'll lead a high-performing team to execute campaigns across digital channels, ensuring best practices and budget optimisation.


Additionally you will;

  • Strategically align campaigns with business objectives, collaborating with stakeholders across Woolworths New Zealand.
  • Manage and execute paid search campaigns, optimising performance and achieving financial targets.
  • Lead paid search strategy development, leveraging APAC market expertise and driving innovation.
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and customer focus.
  • Oversee campaign performance, reporting, and operational efficiency to maximise ROI.


What you’ll bring


  • Extensive experience (8+ years) in Search & Ad Tech across Google Search, Microsoft, and Google Marketing Platform.
  • Proven leadership skills, including team motivation, goal setting, and performance feedback.
  • Strong commercial acumen in digital media commercialisation, yield management, and trading.
  • Strategic thinker with problem-solving and innovation capabilities, aligning solutions with business needs.
  • Excellent organisational, analytical, communication, and project management skills, combined with a customer and team-focused approach.
