About the Role | Mō te Tūranga

We’re looking for a Property Portfolio Manager to join our Property & 360 team here in Aotearoa reporting to our National Property Portfolio Manager. Joining us, you’ll help to manage the strategic and day to day property management of our property network and work closely with the wider team to guide and implement property decisions right across the business.

You will deliver key business outcomes including delivery of the property network plan, and meeting business objectives for renewals, tenure, occupancy costs, convenience and customer amenities in accordance with Woolworths NZ’s Customer 1st, Team 1st strategy and overarching Property framework. 

  • Liaising with external partners (e.g. landlords, agents, valuers and consultants) on proposals to ensure clear communication and execution of business objectives
  • Working to implement the endorsed property portfolio strategy through negotiation of property transactions to improve existing sites and to ensure that our Property network delivers exceptional results across the business.
  • Build, manage and enhance relationships with  internal and external stakeholders to ensure property requirements are well understood, with a significant focus on ‘end-to-end’ solutions.
  • Board reporting to seek capital for store renewal projects and other lease transactions


About You | Mōu

To succeed in this role ideally you will have 3+ years experience in a commercial property role and a tertiary qualification in property. You will have a good understanding of commercial leases, and proven experience managing a portfolio of properties. With strong business and financial acumen, you’ll bring excellent influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to engage, build and maintain key stakeholder relationships.

Your proven ability to prioritise and tactically manage a wide range of commercial property initiatives will be essential in the role, as will your ability to balance commercial outcomes aligned with our Ways of Working.
