What you'll do
As the Data Analyst for Non-Trade Procurement Finance, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing Woolworths' significant non-trade spend. You'll be the one of the team's data expert, supporting group productivity opportunities, enhance supplier performance tracking, and provide the financial insights that shape our strategic decisions.
You'll be the bridge between raw data and commercial outcomes, translating complex spend, contract, and supplier information into clear, actionable stories for your finance and procurement stakeholders.
A mix of supported and Independently led projects transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that drive decision-making within Woolworths Supermarkets.
Utilise SQL and Google BigQuery to efficiently extract, manipulate, and analyse data from Non trade spend sources
Proactively identify and investigate data patterns, anomalies, and opportunities, communicating findings effectively to the team.
Analyze, interpret, and document business requirements, providing expert advice and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Occasionally Support the Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports (e.g., in Google Looker Datastudio) to communicate key performance indicators (KPIs) and insights to stakeholders, from category managers to senior finance leader
What you'll bring
You’ll bring solid experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst within an insights focused role alongside strong analytical and logical reasoning capabilities with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Proficiency in using analytical software and advanced spreadsheet tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel - and equivalent).
Sound understanding of core business processes, particularly within a large commercial or retail environment.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
