What you'll do
Reporting to the Safety, Health and Wellbeing Manager - Fulfillment Capability & Ops, we are looking for someone to partner with our operational teams to drive great leadership, care and processes to deliver great safety, health and wellbeing outcomes. This role will support our Customer Fulfilment Centers and e-Commerce sites (including our Automated sites) building and implementing safety processes and guidelines in this growing market. Your deep knowledge of relevant legislation, warehousing and retail environments, with strong automation experience will serve you well. Bringing a contemporary approach to safety, health and wellbeing will support your stakeholder relationships in-person and virtually, with regular travel to the sites in your region (NSW metro and at times interstate).
Conduct site visits and coach teams to deliver great outcomes; provide technical safety support and encourage safe work practices
Drive the rollout of our integrated safety management system, including policies, procedures, and tools
Conduct risk assessments, investigate serious incidents (ICAM) and support safety learning and assurance programs
Identify, implement, and maintain safety strategies and programs and participate in National Safety Programs
Partner closely with the Supermarket and Next Gen Retail (Metro) teams to facilitate safety solutions to shared challenges
Have fun on site coaching, training and supporting operations team
What you'll bring
We are looking for a safety professional to join our team who brings a strong presence of leadership aligned with lived experience of a similar role. You will be driven to coach, mentor and demonstrate health, safety and wellbeing excellence and hit the ground running with an awareness of your impacts across the broader team.
Minimum 5+years inside of the Safety Health and Wellbeing space, ideally within an automated environment
Experience and proven track record in successfully delivering SHW initiatives and programs at a corporate and operational level
Influencing and coaching skills to elevate commitment to SHW improvements
Understanding of project and change management, ideally with some experience in managing projects and the ability to support the safety needs of new and changing initiatives in a fast moving and evolving business environment
Understanding of work, health and safety performance measures and ability to apply analytical skills to gain meaningful insights
Care deeply, maintain confidentiality and have high energy and enthusiasm for everything you do
Must be able to travel to NSW Metro sites regularly, at least 2-3 times a week and travel interstate quarterly or as required
