What you’ll do
- Plan, manage and support the full lifecycle of intermodal container and fleet assets – including acquisition, delivery, maintenance, breakdown management, operational management and end-of-life/disposal while ensuring safety, compliance and minimising downtime.
- Oversee supplier and service-provider performance – ensuring accountability, contract compliance, safety, quality, audits, and strong working relationships across all maintenance, repair, wash and operational service activities.
- Ensure full regulatory, safety and compliance management (CSC, Food Authority, Mandatory Servicing, COR, etc.)
- Manage operational planning, costs and performance eg scheduling and authorising repairs, wash and maintenance, controlling budgets
- Work with rail planning and operations team on fleet repair and wash scheduling and exception reporting
- Temperature Monitoring (business hours) and provision of advice on any in transit failures or out of temp stock issues
- Support strategic fleet development and operational improvements
- Manage additional/rental equipment for peak periods, overseeing delivery and end-of-lease returns, and escalating issues that may impact operational or initiative outcomes.
- Provide support to PC+ transport on other modes of transport as required
What you’ll bring
- Experience in transport fleet and/or maintenance management, including supplier coordination and issue resolution. Transport refrigeration or intermodal container experience desirable
- Strong communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
- Solid understanding of maintenance procedures, repair timeframes and technical fleet/equipment requirements.
- Excellent organisational, planning and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Google/Microsoft suites, reporting and analysis, and knowledge of SH&E requirements including COR.
- Valid driver’s licence with a good driving record.
