This role is based in our Norwest Sydney office. 


What you’ll do


  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate mutually beneficial agreements that align with customer needs and commercial objectives.
  • Develop and execute category plans that provide a clear roadmap for supply partners, ensuring effective collaboration and alignment.
  • Drive sales growth and profit improvement by implementing strategic category initiatives that optimise product offerings and merchandising strategies.
  • Identify and capitalise on opportunities that enhance customer satisfaction, streamline store operations, and reduce costs for Woolworths.
  • Continuously evaluate supplier capabilities, proactively seek new partnerships, and cultivate existing relationships to secure long-term competitive advantage.


What you’ll bring


  • Proven experience in driving category growth and working cross functionally.
  • Technical Bakery background is beneficial.
  • Understanding of store operations.
  • Passion for coaching and developing team and also across wider team.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing customer-focused category plans aligned with the divisional strategy and supported by sound commercial insights and data.
  • Strong negotiation and influence skills with cross-functional and external stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Passion for product and the ability to become an expert in the space.
